## Ultra-Fast Quantum Controller

Hybrid Controller with Powerful Real-Time Processing and Ultra-Fast Feedback

[ Contact us ](/contact-us/)

 #### An integrated control and measurement system for driving, manipulating, and reading qubits, designed according to Quantum Machines’ Hybrid Control approach

## Hybrid Control

At the OPX+’s core, the Pulse Processing Unit ([PPU](https://www.quantum-machines.co/technology/pulse-processing-unit/)) seamlessly integrates quantum operations (pulses and measurements) with ultra-fast classical processing and control flow. This innovative design minimizes overhead, reduces latency, and enables the execution of complex quantum algorithms that were previously impossible.

![](https://www.quantum-machines.co/wp-content/uploads/2025/04/Group-206144.png)

## Ultra Fast

OPX+ reduces [conditional feedback](https://www.quantum-machines.co/technology/comprehensive-quantum-feedback-and-feed-forward/) latency to 224 ns and supports fully parametric feedback: readout, classical calculations, and parameter updates in 272 ns. With no central controller architecture, a cluster of OPX+ units provides ultra-fast feedback between any of the qubits. Advanced sequences like 5,000-depth Randomized Benchmarking run in minutes, with no uploading or compilation time.

## Hybrid Development Platform

The OPX+ hybrid development platform unifies quantum and classical programming. At its core is [QUA](https://www.quantum-machines.co/products/qua-universal-quantum-language/), a powerful pulse-level language that enables developers to effortlessly implement complex quantum algorithms while seamlessly integrating classical processing. The platform also includes automated calibration via QUAlibrate and a vast library of control applications.

### Substantially reducing coding complexity and time to results

“OPX has been a **powerful enabler** in our lab, helping us quickly characterize the performance of our recently discovered qubits. The hardware removes time wasted in uploading and waiting during pulse programming. QUA has **substantially reduced the complexity** of writing quantum protocols, allowing us to code dynamical decoupling and RB sequences in just a few lines. It remarkably s**aves our time** in optimizing the processes and visualizing the results, allowing us to focus more on understanding the physics of our new qubits.” [See case study >>](https://www.quantum-machines.co/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/Dafei-Jin.png)

### Simplified lab workflow and faster runtimes

“Replacing three devices with one synchronized, orchestrated machine tremendously simplified lab workflow. Now our pulse sequences run in a fraction of the time of any other device combo. Plus, we can “talk” to the FPGA in human-speak, to run real-time calculations that were too complicated before! Along with the yoga-level.”

### Randomized benchmarking in 48 hours at EeroQ

“Within only two days of unboxing the OPX and Octave, we were running randomized benchmarking, active reset, state tomography, and all the routine qubit control protocols. This was simply incredible. Furthermore, the easy-to-use QUA language allowed us to implement our pulse sequences in minutes. As a startup, speed of progress is a crucial element of our success. With QM, we are confident to accelerate our development and achieve results in days instead of months or even years.”
